Wondering how to care about your new POPEQ felt purse? There're a few simple steps you can take to ensure that your handbags are kept in perfect condition for years to come!

Protect leather straps

Apply small portion of conditioning product or natural beeswax with a clean white cotton cloth. This is important, never apply to much because some conditioners can leave a white residue on the leather surface.  For Natural un-dyed leather with any products, test a small patch on the bag to make sure it doesn’t cause huge discoloration. Surface will darken substantially depending on the conditioner used.

Remove stains from felt fabric in the right way

Dry clean or hand wash your bag in a clean, lukewarm water, approximately 30°C, using a mild and gentle soap or preferably Woolmark-approved detergent. (please remember to protect straos and do not wash them!).

When washing gently massage fabric – do not wash vigorously or it will felt more and shrink in size. Ensure rinsing and washing water is the same temperature.Avoid using heavy duty detergents, “Bio” detergents containing enzymes, or any detergents containing bleaches. Never use bleach, either chlorine or oxygen based.

Dry your felt bag properly

Dry your bag flat and very slow out of direct heat.

Before drying you should take care that you have the bag in its original form. If not, take a towel and stuff the bag accordingly. They keep the shape in which they are dried.

I hope my simple tips will be helpful to you and your bag will stay in great condition for a long time.
